Kinder Morgan CO2 Company, one of the largest CO2 providers and CO2 tertiary recovery companies in the US, is seeking an engineering manager to lead a multi-disciplinary business development team. The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Leading a team which executes business development, acquisition and planning activities;
Identifying screening profiles for assets that meet corporate strategic objectives;
Development, validation, and updating of target field performance model(s) which will be used to evaluate implementation scenarios;
Detailed reservoir characterization and performance evaluation for EOR;
Financial analysis of operating statements, contracts and commodity arrangements;
Preparing financial analyses and long range planning models for portfolio analysis;
Prepare and/or assist in creating presentation materials;
Communication of business unit expectations to team and support organizations;
Evaluation and feedback of performance to team and support organizations;
Development, communication, reporting, execution and evaluation of project plans and timelines.
Position Requirements

Position Requirements: The preferred candidate should have/be:
Required
BS or greater in Engineering;
10+ years of engineering experience
Entirely capable of working independently;
Effective working in a team environment;
Strong leader with a track record of delivering results
Demonstrated ability to proficiently use and/or learn petroleum software such as Petra, OFM, DSS, Aries, etc.;
Significant experience with design, implementation, and surveillance of waterfloods and/or CO2 floods, production/injection forecasting;
High competency in analysis and evaluation of producing assets;.
A proven track record working effectively within a multi-disciplined development team.
Excellent communication skills within the team and to management;
An objective and analytical approach, with a solid command of E&P; project economics and financial acumen;
A clear thinker, concise and effective communicator, and an effective decision maker;
Ability to handle and disseminate confidential acquisition information in a responsible manner.
Preferred:
Petroleum Engineering degree preferred;
3-5 years in business development roles in the oil and gas industry;
Business and/or financial background or education is a plus.
Working conditions:
Primarily office setting in Houston, Texas. Travel may be required but typically is less than 20%.
Working after hours, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
