The open position in the Production & Reservoir Performance Base Management Team is for a Senior Petroleum Engineer. The high level objective of this role is to imbed best practice in Well Performance Monitoring & Waterflood Management through deep technical coaching and drive consistent application of best practice across the field. Provide leadership and global experience to deliver high profile BMT led projects including MZWIP (Multi-Zone Water Injection Project), Chirag Artificial Lift and other emerging projects.
This position reports directly to the PRP BMTL but provides support to all AGT Base Management teams.
The main accountabilities required for this position shall include the following:
BMT Project Management:
MZWIP (Multi-Zone Water Injection Project) project ownership and delivery by driving integration between all functions and vendors involved.
Provide technical leadership, coaching and project management advisory role for the delivery of Chirag artificial lift project
Other emerging major BMT projects
Water Injection Operations and Waterflood Management:
Own and revise Water Injection Operating limits guidelines and workflow to reflect current understanding and lessons learnt.
Lead diagnostics, investigation and remediation of wells and facilities issues relating to produced water re-injection and of wells constrained by Water Injection Operating Limits constrains
Establish best practice for wells and water injection facilities monitoring and performance management under produced water re-injection scheme
Ensure compliance with operating limits set for produced water reinjection and to mitigate out-of-zone injection
Embed Waterflood monitoring and optimization based on analytical workflows and drive consistent application of best practices across the field
Integrate waterflood surveillance analysis results with monthly injection target setting, wellwork candidate development and reservoir simulation history matching
Act as co-lead for Waterflood Framework Business Priorities
Increase the competency level of younger Petroleum Engineers through coaching, sharing industry experience, communicating success story and best practice in areas of Produced water injection, Out-of-zone injection and Waterflood management.
Strengthen Subsea water injection capability within the region through experience based leadership
Minimum BS in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
Essential experience and job requirements
- Good knowledge of English Language,
- Minimum 10 years of Industry experience
- Strong analytical and Organisational skills
Other Requirements (e.g. Travel, Location)
- Prior Experience in similar role.
- Familiarity with Process Net, ISIS, MBOS
Desirable criteria & qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence with respect.
