Pau (64)Total is looking for an Assisted History Matching and Optimization Research Reservoir Engineer to join a team of Reservoir Engineers and IT developers, building Assisted History Matching solutions to Total E&P; Assets in the framework of a tool developed in Total Integrated Chain of Geo-modeling (CIG). The Total History Matching tool based on Ensemble methods data assimilation is developed and deployed in the Total E&P; Headquarters. It stands as a successful outcome of several years of internal R&D; and external industrial partnerships with academia. The hosting service entity in HQ is consolidating expertise on Geo-statistics and Uncertainty workflows for reservoir modelling and dynamic simulation.

As an Assisted History Matching and Optimization Research Reservoir Engineer, your mission will be to reinforce the team and unlock continuous innovative solutions to Total E&P; Assets and to follow-up R&D; activities with Academics outside Total.

Candidate profile
PhD in engineering or/and applied mathematics, PhD in Optimization and Data Assimilation would be an advantage.
Strong academic background, excellent research skills, good knowledge of history matching tools.
Solid professional background in geoscience, preferably at least 5 years of experience working as a Reservoir Engineering.
The successful candidate should be excellent in working in a transversal environment.
