Analytical Petroleum Engineer

Location – Houston

Duration – 12 Months

Work Schedule – 5 Days per week

Our Client is looking for an analytical Petroleum Engineer who has an interest in IT Analysis to support its US based Operations.

Ideally looking for an individual with 5-10 Years engineering experience with interest in leading projects and being hands on in exploration and production and learning new technologies and scripting languages. It is preferable that this person has worked as an Engineer (ie. Production, Reservoir, Drilling, Completions, Field, etc) as well as Information Technology or has interest in expanding Information Technology skill set.

This person will work with Big Data/Data Warehousing, analytics, process automation, and .NET and mobile application development.

This is NOT a purely IT position and will work on an integrated team with Engineers and IT. Customer based will primarily be Engineers and Field Operations..

Job Scope

Supports with reporting and analysis. Develops report specifications of data requirements and provide analysis . Supports the team in the preparation and submission of financial and progress reports as required. Creates and prepares documentation, reporting and metrics. Supports in gathering, defining, documenting and clarifying business requirements. Works cross-functionally on development and implementation of projects and ensures the success of projects/programs. Typically requires 7-10 years of experience. Senior level. Understands advanced aspects of discipline and is viewed as an expert in a given field. Applies broad range of competencies to develop solutions to complex problems. Influences others to achieve objectives. Often provides specialized/technical/functional guidance to others within department and/or business asset.

Required Skills

Bachelors Degree in Engineering

Analytical personality with strong communication skills
