The Role:
To support the transition from Paradigm's EPOS to Schlumberger's Petrel software, we are looking for an individual who can act as a focal point for application and workflow support issues for our Exploration Geoscientists.

The role requires someone who combines in depth understanding of business and industry knowledge to the IT landscape. They will be defining and helping customers in implementing Road Maps for the Business transformations. Assists in planning the engagement, establishing the engagement requirements, and delivering the results to the client

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Can demonstrate Petrel expertise, preferably with at least 5 years' experience with the software and in particular a thorough understanding of Exploration workflows. Experience in a support role who is self starting and can manage a high workload along with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Is preferably tertiary qualified in a geoscience discipline Ability to support multiple team's of geoscientists across the exploration, appraisal and development lifecycle. A knowledge of EPOS and Gocad is desirable to assist with translating workflows into Petrel equivalents or to develop workarounds to mitigate loss of functionality Good knowledge of the third party plugins into Petrel (e.g. Blueback geophysics toolbox) and Studio is preferred
