ADVISOR GEOLOGY RESERVOIR (MODELING)
Expert skills in construction of geological models (full field, sector, regional, etc.) to support Development team activities and deliverables.
Expertise with geo-modelling work flow, risk and uncertainty analysis, volumetric estimation.
Integrate all available local and regional geoscience and reservoir engineering data and carry out reservoir geo-modelling studies using the Petrel modeling tool. Geomodel to incorporate interpretation of structure, depositional environments and facies, diagenesis to produce a representative, reliable static model of the reservoir.
Review and evaluate all subsurface data quality for input into the static reservoir model, and indicate where data needs to be revisited or reinterpreted. Identify any gaps in required data.
Generate subsurface geological models to aid in reservoir description including size, shape, continuity and quality, development planning, reservoir production and well performance predictions.
The role involves both independent work and contributing as a member of a multi-disciplinary team creating static geological and flow simulation models. Lead the team in construction and QC of multiple static models.
Provide key mentoring/training to geology staff on geology, geo-modelling, and other work tasks
Evaluate in-place gas/fluid volumes based on the reservoir model.
Design and complete uncertainty analyses and provide sensitivities for integration into the volumetric and reservoir simulation work.
Interactively provide the reservoir engineering team with up-scaled reservoir grids (surfaces, faults, properties etc.) for integration into the dynamic simulation models.
Iterate with reservoir engineering team to update static model properties In alignment with well performance ensuring that geological data and principles are honored.
Provides support for well operations and works to frequently integrate well results in the geological model. Validates seismic, geological, engineering data with well results.
Utilize all well data and reservoir model to optimize placement for all appraisal and development wells.
Assist the geological operations and drilling teams with well planning and execution support (using Petrel trajectory/tracking analysis) and evaluation of well results (Petrel and/or Landmark software). Support real time QC of drilling data including LWD and wireline data.
Update the reservoir model frequently with the results of drilling activities to optimize well placement for all appraisal and development wells.
Provides technical input into various reports and provides technical reviews them to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Participates and presents various modeling activities to management, shareholders, external authorities, and technical conferences.
