TGS provides multi-client geoscience data to oil and gas Exploration and Production companies worldwide. In addition to extensive global geophysical and geological data libraries that include multi-client seismic data, magnetic and gravity data, digital well logs, production data and directional surveys, TGS also offers advanced processing and imaging services, interpretation products, permanent reservoir monitoring and data integration solutions.
Develops new technologies and provides technical support to seismic processing personnel and clients as required. TGS has two openings for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Independently implement advanced software components or modules
Come up with creative solutions independently which helps production processing
Generate noticeable impact on production processing
Able to come up with creative solutions independently which helps production processing
Demonstrates the ability to solve difficult problems with some guidance
Capable of presenting material to clients with little support from others
Responsible and able to deliver R&D tasks on time
Test newly developed techniques for their theoretical rigor and practical efficiency
Present his/her research findings at international geophysical conferences
Take responsibility for your own safety, and comply with all instructions given regarding health, safety and the protection of the environment.
Ensure the correct use of safety devices and protective equipment as required and report any hazards, accidents or injuries to your immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements (Education and Experience):
Master degree in Geophysics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or related field, or PhD in lieu of some experience
4 to 7 years of relevant experience

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Strong programming skills (C/C++)
Self-motivated and able to work well in team and independently
Good communication skills, able to effectively present at lunch and learn sessions and to other groups internally
Good problem solving skills, able to promptly resolve production issues
Understands software framework and how to optimize it with hardware used in production
Fortran programming skills are desired, but not required
