TGS provides multi-client geoscience data to oil and gas Exploration and Production companies worldwide. In addition to extensive global geophysical and geological data libraries that include multi-client seismic data, magnetic and gravity data, digital well logs, production data and directional surveys, TGS also offers advanced processing and imaging services, interpretation products, permanent reservoir monitoring and data integration solutions.
The Advanced Processing Geophysicist will work on seismic processing projects independently and will provide necessary problem solving on assigned projects. The Advanced Processing Geophysicist will be able to mentor and/or supervise staff who are assigned to their projects. Will work on 2D, 3D, time or depth processing projects with little supervision, just general guidance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Will be equipped to participate and contribute to client meetings
Proficient at planning and executing tests for 50% of the more common processing steps; building master flows; running pilots
Capable of preparing and chairing Peer Reviews
Completes assigned tasks and projects on time
Building master flows under supervision.
Limited testing under supervision.
Integrity and timely completion of assigned projects.
Takes initiative to learn and understand project timelines, project barriers, individual tasks, project objectives and QC standards.
Further develop presentation skills
Production and QC of Velocities and deliverables
Manage disk
Demonstrate personal commitment to living the TGS values
Take responsibility for your own safety, and comply with all instructions given regarding health, safety and the protection of the environment.
Ensure the correct use of safety devices and protective equipment as required and report any hazards, accidents or injuries to your immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements (Education and Experience):

BSc or higher in geophysics, geology, physics, math or equivalent knowledge level
Completion of PEAK or equivalent training
Capable of being a Processing Expert in at least one technical area
A minimum of 4 - 8 years of processing experience

Good grasp of geophysical and geological principles.
