TGS provides multi-client geoscience data to oil and gas Exploration and Production companies worldwide. In addition to extensive global geophysical and geological data libraries that include multi-client seismic data, magnetic and gravity data, digital well logs, production data and directional surveys, TGS also offers advanced processing and imaging services, interpretation products, permanent reservoir monitoring and data integration solutions.
Provides Geophysical/Geological interpretations for imaging projects. Ensures timing and quality of assigned projects in accordance with external and internal client’s expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze geological/geophysical data for integrated seismic interpretation.
Interpret salt, carbonate, unconformities, faults and other stratigraphic/structural horizons for building and constraining velocity models.
Analyze well data and conduct integrated well-seismic analysis
QC seismic images and models to make sure imaging products are geologically correct.
Present interpretation products to peers, processing teams, management and clients.
Responsible for project timelines and quality.
Take responsibility for your own safety, and comply with all instructions given regarding health, safety and the protection of the environment.
Ensure the correct use of safety devices and protective equipment as required and report any hazards, accidents or injuries to your immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements (Education and Experience):
BSc in geophysics, geology, physics, math or master’s degree in lieu of some experience
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
AVO and quantitative interpretation experience is a plus
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Capable of working independently and will therefore have a comprehensive knowledge of geological interpretation
Independently carries out geophysical/geological interpretation processes and can establish new techniques and methodologies for solving complex problems
Capable of working with team to create and coordinate interpretation for the project
Effectively presents information to internal and external clients
Has advanced project management and supervisory skills
Defines QC requirements, develops new QC tools and guides R&D; in developing QC tools
Can be trusted to deal directly with clients with minimal supervision
