We are looking for Offshore Surveyors (3/4D Seismic) for a client based in the Edinburgh area.Our client is looking for applicants from one of 2 skills areas to help them service their contracts with clients working in the 3D / 4D Seismic Oil Surveying industry. Applicants with 3D / 4D Seismic Oil Surveying would be preferred for the more experienced role with our client accepting other applicants from Geoscience / Geophysics Surveying and perhaps Surveyors from the Construction industryThese offshore roles cover the following key areas: 4D Seismic acquisition management4D Seismic QCSimultaneous Operations management (SIMOPS)The ideal applicants: Our expert will be the main point of contact for Oil Company communication and will be in charge of running the project.The 2nd person will be acting as overnight cover to ensure that there is 24hr representation. Key skills: Experience of seismic very beneficialExperience of the surveying world very beneficial (e.g. could come from a construction background)Relevant offshore certificates, medicals very beneficialGood IT knowledgeNeeds to be a good communicatorTypical Salary Packages: Contract - £300 - £350 /day depending on experienceEmployee – the client generally needs offshore personnel rather that office-based individuals so the role could be home based after training. The contract in this scenario effectively prepays for offshore days e.g. salary of say £28K - £35K to include 90 days offshore work, then a day rate for day 91+. With this contract there is no requirement to spend time in the office (other than initial training, and sometimes before a project starts).
